Bettergut™ by Phytoceutics is an innovative, next-generation pre- and postbiotic containing tributyrin, which may improve gut health by generating butyrate directly in the colon.

Butyrate is a short chain fatty acid (SCFA) which has been shown to be critical for multiple health benefits including gut health, brain and nervous system support, metabolic health, oxidative stress, immune health, inflammation, mood, sleep, cardiovascular and skin health.

Butyrate plays an important role in intestinal barrier function making it beneficial for those struggling with leaky gut and IBS. Most people don’t get enough butyrate because the body can’t make it on its own and generation is dependent on the state of the gut microbiome.

The unique benefit of Bettergut™ as a direct butyrate generator is that it is not affected by the variation in people’s microbiomes. Bettergut™ will generate butyrate, an important signalling molecule for many aspects of health, no matter the state of the gut microbiome. Bettergut™ is generally well tolerated and provides fewer side effects (gas, bloating) than other common prebiotics, at lower doses. As a pre- and postbiotic, Bettergut™ works synergistically with probiotics.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

Adults and children 12 years and older: Take one capsule daily. Not suitable for children.
