GLUCOscript is a comprehensive multi-ingredient formulation designed to assist in the physiological regulation of blood glucose levels. Its synergistic blend of botanical extracts, including Bitter Melon, Goat's Rue, and Gymnema Sylvestre, alongside essential nutrients like Chromium and Vanadium, modulates glucose absorption and enhances insulin sensitivity. Mode of Action:

Calcium AEP lowers the requirement for exogenous insulin in diabetes mellitus type 1 patients and improves the regulation of blood sugar in diabetes mellitus type 2 patients. Calcium AEP alleviates some of the complications associated with diabetes mellitus such as diabetic nephropathy and diabetic retinopathy.

Bitter melon lowers blood glucose without increasing insulin, due to its active constituents charantin and polypeptide-P.

Goat’s rue (galega officinalis) has blood sugar lowering activity due to its guanidine content. Guanidine is a substance which decreases blood sugar by decreasing insulin resistance. Goat’s rue can decrease the formation of advanced glycosylation end products (AGEs). Galega is the botanical source for the life extension drug metformin (glucophage).

Gymnema sylvestre may regenerate the beta cells that are located within the Islets of langerhans of the pancreas which are responsible for the production and secretion of insulin. Gymnema sylvestre lowers elevated blood glucose levels, due to the gymnemic acids content of Gymnema sylvestre, which seems to inhibit the absorption of glucose.

Quercetin is a potent antioxidant which helps to suppress the aldose reductase enzyme, which converts blood glucose into sorbitol, which is strongly implicated in the complications of diabetes. Quercetin also enhances insulin secretion and protects the beta cells of the pancreas against damage by free radicals.

NAC is a potent antioxidant and therefore helps to prevent the free radical-induced destruction of beta cells in the Islets of langerhans in the pancreas of diabetes mellitus type 2 patients. NAC aids in the prevention of diabetic neuropathy in diabetes mellitus patients.

Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) improves the body’s utilisation of glucose and protects against the development of diabetic neuropathy and other complications of diabetes by inhibiting the glycosylation of proteins. Most diabetes mellitus patients are found to be deficient in vitamin B6.

Cinnamon extract acts as an “insulin mimetic” which is a substance that has cellular effects similar to insulin itself, and thus regulates blood glucose levels. Cinnamon helps reduce the rate of gastric emptying and decreases the rise in blood sugar after eating.

Vanadium restores sensitivity of glucose and insulin receptors.

Chromium regulates the body’s blood sugar and inhibits excessive cross-linking. It also improves the uptake of glucose into the body’s cells so that it can be metabolised to produce energy via adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Chromium deficiency is an underlying cause of some cases of diabetes mellitus.

Recommended Usage

Adults: Take one capsule three times a day with meals.

Children: Take one capsule twice a day with meals.
