Saw Palmetto, or Serenoa repens has been used by Native Americans for its nutritional benefits for decades. Saw Palmetto contains the antioxidants epicatechin and methyl gallate, both of which prevent cell damage and reduce inflammation.

Studies claim that Saw Palmetto partially blocks the activity of 5-alpha reductase; an enzyme that converts testosterone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Hormones such as DHT are known to play a role in causing male and female pattern hair loss. Thus, this supplement may reduce hair loss and assist hair regrowth.

Saw Palmetto has been used to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and maintain urinary tract health.

Genologix Saw Palmetto is standardised to >45% fatty acids, the more beneficial oily extracts of the fatty portion of the dried fruit.
